My mixed media work continues to explore the subject of human emotion expressed through body language. This new body of work reflects my emotional and physical involvement with the natural world. When we stop and take notice, we recognize we are a part of nature and nature is a part of us. The materials used reflect the beauty, fragility and co-existing vulnerability of this relationship.
Painting while outdoors is a continuation of the exploration of human interaction with the earth when the artist actually moves outside to paint where she can see, feel and fight the elements of nature. All are painted with Williamsburg oil paint over an acrylic base.
